Youth Routes: East Africa Edition

Youth Routes is The Table Kampala’s bold reimagination of what travel can look like in Uganda and across Africa—through the eyes, voices, and creativity of the next generation.

Tourism has long overlooked young people. We're flipping the script.
This isn’t about sightseeing. It’s about story-sharing, culture-connecting, and youth-powered discovery.

Led by our ambassadors, this movement explores hidden gems, hometown pride, and the vibrant pulse of East African youth culture—from food and fashion to music, nature, and design.

A new kind of tourism—youth-led, culture-rooted, and unapologetically local.

What We’re Building
  • An annual Youth Festival that welcomes regional and global guests to experience Uganda through curated, youth-designed experiences

  • Community-led tours and pop-ups that highlight youth voices, creativity, and cultural pride

  • A youth-powered “Explore Uganda” campaign—led by our ambassadors, telling the country’s story from the inside out

  • Cross-border collaborations that bring the Table model to new African cities—building bridges, sharing stories, and creating a continent-wide movement for youth-led tourism
